Please welcome our new baby! ~Joshua~ Reborn January 6, 2004 5 lbs, 8 oz. 22 inches long Little Joshua arrived on our doorstep as a 20-inch Berenguer LaBaby doll. More than anything, he wanted a new family to love him, so we showered him with love and attention to transform him into a beautiful lifelike baby. First, Joshua was given a warm, sudsy bath to create a clean, even surface. Then he was dyed with a combination of rosy dyes carefully timed to give his skin new life. His skin was blushed and shaded with oil-based colors that soak in, so they don’t require a sealant and blend into his skin tone naturally. Each crease and roll was given special attention. Every tiny part of Joshua was cared for. He was given hand-painted downy baby brows to frame his eyes, and delicate lashes to match his hair were inserted. His new inquisitive brown eyes were glossed to give them that added sparkle of life and to help secure his lashes. When you look into this precious baby's face, you can really see yourself in his eyes! His tiny finger and toenails were shaded and given the finest of ivory tips, then double-sealed with a chip-resistant finish. Joshua’s nose was opened and backed with felt for depth. Joshua was reassembled with a jointed cloth body. Each limb is weighted with poly pellets and sterile sand, so you can pose him in all those adorable baby ways. His body and head are also weighted, so he will feel like a real baby in your arms. Fluffy fiberfill in the limbs and body make him snuggly soft. Joshua was given extra-special realistic baby hair. All his paint hair was removed; then the perfect shade of dark brown mohair was chosen in a high-quality Kemper wig. The hair is secured to his head with strong, clear glue. Joshua's hair was sculpted to frame his sweet face, ears and neck. It can be dampened and gently brushed and styled with the included baby hair brush. Joshua was dressed in a disposable diaper and a new footed cotton sleeper. Be sure you button up his blue sweater and put on his cap when you take him out in the cold winter weather! We like to dress our babies in soft fabrics to enhance the snuggling experience. Joshua can wear newborn and 0-3 months clothes. Joshua has been reborn from a toy to a collectible.
