Sarah arrived in our nursery as a 20-inch Berenguer LaBaby doll. There we showered her with love and attention to transform her into a beautiful lifelike
baby.
First, Sarah was given a warm, sudsy bath to create a clean, even surface. Then she was dyed with a
combination of rosy dyes to give her skin new life. Her skin was blushed and shaded with oil-based
colors that soak in, so they don’t require a sealant and blend into her skin tone naturally. Each crease
and roll was given special attention.
Every tiny part of Sarah was cared for. She was given downy baby brows to frame her sleepy eyes,
and delicate lashes to perfectly match her hair were carefully rooted and secured from the inside of her head.
Her tiny finger and toenails were shaded and given the finest of ivory tips,
then double-sealed with a chip-resistant semi-gloss finish. Sarah’s nose was opened and backed with dark felt for depth.
Sarah was reassembled with a jointed cloth body. Each limb is weighted with poly pellets, so you
can pose her in all those adorable baby ways. Her body is also weighted, so she will
feel like a real baby in your arms. Fluffy fiberfill in the limbs and body make her snuggly soft.
Sarah's hands, feet and head were also weighted with poly pellets. Her head will now need support when
you hold her.
Sarah was given extra-special realistic baby hair. All her paint hair was removed; then the perfect shade of mohair was chosen --
a soft brown with hints of golden red. The hair is rooted follicle by tiny follice and gently conditioned for extra softness, so it feels like a real baby's when you cradle Sarah's little head in your hand.
Sarah's hair was sculpted to frame her peaceful, sleeping face and precious little ears. The hair was sealed from the inside with strong, clear glue, so you can wet, gently brush and style it to your heart's content.
You can even curl it with a warm curling iron.
Sarah was dressed in a disposable diaper and a new cozy pink and white outfit
that looks so beautiful with her soft rosy complexion.
She looks adorable in just her onesie and knit pants, but pull on her hooded fleece jacket
and matching socks when you take her out in the cold winter weather!
We like to dress our babies in soft fabrics to enhance
the snuggling experience. Sarah can wear newborn and 0-3 months clothes.
Sarah has been reborn from a child's toy to an adult's collectible. She is
not suitable for rough play.
