Please welcome our new baby! ~Willow~ Reborn May 6, 2004 4 lbs, 10 oz. 22 inches long Little Willow arrived on our doorstep as a 20-inch Berenguer LaBaby doll. More than anything, she wanted a new family to love her, so we showered her with love and attention to transform her into a beautiful lifelike baby. First, Willow was given a warm, sudsy bath to create a clean, even surface. Then she was dyed with a combination of rosy dyes carefully timed to give her skin new life. Her skin was blushed and shaded with oil-based colors that soak in, so they don’t require a sealant and blend into her skin tone naturally. Each crease and roll was given special attention. Every tiny part of Willow was cared for. She was given hand-drawn downy baby brows to frame her eyes and delicate rooted lashes to exactly match her hair. Her tiny finger and toenails were shaded and given the finest of ivory tips, then double-sealed with a chip-resistant finish. Willow’s nose was opened and backed with felt for depth. Willow was reassembled with a jointed cloth body sewn especially for her by me. Each vinyl limb is weighted with poly pellets and sterile sand and sealed, so you can pose her in all those adorable baby ways. Her body and head are also weighted, so she will feel like a real baby in your arms. Fluffy fiberfill in the limbs and body make her snuggly soft. Willow was given extra-special realistic baby hair. All her paint hair was removed; then two shades of mohair were combined and rooted strand by strand to create her realistic head of soft, strawberry blonde hair. The hair is secured inside her head with strong, clear glue. Then Willow's hair was sculpted to frame her sweet face, ears and neck. It can be dampened and gently brushed and styled with the included baby hair brush. Willow was dressed in a disposable diaper and an adorable new pink sweater and pants set. The sweater has a cute old-fashioned hood with a tassle! We like to dress our babies in soft fabrics to enhance the snuggling experience. Willow can wear newborn and 0-3 months clothes. Willow has been reborn from a toy to a collectible and would be best suited for an adult or older child. Cloud 9 Nursery is a smoke-free environment.
